Perth Samplings 2008 is a series of discussions about architecture and urban design coordinated by the Office of the Government Architect held monthly at The Bakery ARTRAGE Complex.

The lecture series provide a forum for architects, academics, urban and landscape architects to comment on, speculate about, discuss and debate contemporary urban conditions based on research, proposition and current practice. It is intended that the debate contribute to an ongoing dialogue about the city and serve to inform future projects.

Perth Samplings for December will feature presentations from Michael Patroni and his Fremantle based spaceagency spaceagency is a small Fremantle based practice that strives to produce engaging projects, which embody a strong sense of the place within which their projects are sited.

Michael will be joined by Robert Simeoni Architects, which was established in Victoria in 1994, pursuing the creation of buildings balanced in a range of social contexts and environments.

Robert Simeoni will discuss a range of recent projects, including: * The recently completed Seaford Life Saving Club in relation to the original design competition and its fruition – recipient of the AIA National Award for Public Architecture, 2008.
