Inspiring, thought-provoking, educational and entertaining, Earth from Above: an aerial portrait of our planet – towards sustainable development by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, is an outdoor photography exhibition which presents breathtaking views of the world and mankind’s impact on it.

The internationally acclaimed exhibition, presented free to the public in an open air format, features 120 large-scale aerial photographs that capture the stunning natural beauty of the earth, life and human endeavour. It invites us to reflect on the sustainability of our global home, both now and in the future.

The photographs are taken by renowned French photographer, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, who undertook the ambitious project to record the state of the planet at the start of the new millennium.

Earth from Above has been seen by more than 70 million people in over 50 countries, and now Perth is delighted to host this global phenomenon.

Proudly presented by principal sponsors, the Western Australian Department of Environment and Conservation and BHP Billiton, Earth from Above aims to stimulate awareness, discussion and ultimately the adoption of more sustainable practices.
