Dance to challenge…to inspire…to provoke
Dyuetto offers a glimpse into the diversity of contemporary dance styles happening in the now, from Australia and around the world. This unconventional triple bill brings together performers from The Dance Box in Osaka, Japan; Dancehouse in Melbourne; and STRUT dance in Perth, creating a highly-charged experience of emotional intensity, sublime movement and confronting sensuality.
Perth’s Rachel Ogle and Sete Tele present N_TN_GLD, a highly physical work set against a gritty urban backdrop.
What follows is a sublime journey into simplicity from Japanese duo Selenographica. Melbourne provocateur Luke George then gives us Lifesize – a raw, sensual look at our relationship with our own physicality.
You can see all three works, or just one half if you prefer. This is a rare opportunity to see contemporary dance from Japan, as well as some of Australia’s most innovative dance artists.
Warning: Lifesize contains nudity and sexual references.
This project has been made possible with the support of the Australia Council, the WA Department of Culture and the Arts, ARTRAGE, Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, Ausdance WA, Dancehouse, Selenographica, Global Japan Network and The Dance Box
